International Society of Feuerbach Researchers
The International Society of Feuerbach Researchers was founded in Zurich in 1987 by Prof. Dr. Hans-Jürg Braun, Prof. Dr. Werner Schuffenhauer, Prof. Dr. Francesco Tomasoni, and Prof. Dr. Hans-Martin Sass. Its members include researchers from Europe, North and South America, and Asia, whose goal is to explore and preserve the extensive and influential work of philosopher Ludwig Feuerbach and to promote its significance.
The members of the society are renowned for their research and publications on Ludwig Feuerbach. The society's headquarters are located at the place of work of its president. It is a non-profit association, and its fiscal year is the calendar year. The society plans and organizes international and interdisciplinary conferences and is independent of political, ideological, or religious positions.
The purpose of the society is to promote editions, scientific analysis, and philosophical discussions of Ludwig Feuerbach's writings. Above all, the society seeks to focus on questions concerning human existence, its origins, and its relationship to nature, history, and society.
